Thanks to the SHDSL transmission technology, Westermo’s DDW-120 Ethernet extender allows existing twisted pair cables to be used to establish a high-speed remote connection between two Ethernet networks. With transfer rates up to 5.7 Mbits/s and an operating distance of up to 15 kilometres at lower data rates, this is an easy-to-install alternative to fibre optic or radio systems when linking remote Ethernet networks. Further, the DDW-120 employs a transient blocking unit on each line interface to provide both over-current and over-voltage protection thus allowing the line to handle indirect lightning strike transients, power induction and short circuit problems.
The TR-36B is a rack mount analogue V.34 PSTN and 2 or 4 wire leased line modem. The modem and its rack are designed for harsh industrial applications where a number of modems are required in the same location. It is perfectly adapted for operating in environments with electromagnetic interferences and provides the best levels of reliability and security. It is also an ideal solution for remote connections using existing copper lines. TR-36B supports data rates of up to 115.2 kbit/s on the terminal side and modem modulation speeds of up to 33.6 kbit/s on the line side.
XF510Sr is the ideal solution for marking at high speed with the minimum of noise. It is the fastest scribing machine on the market, and the only machine in the world to combine scribing with Datamatrix codes. The XF510Sr is very powerful and can achieve markings of 0.2mm in depth on almost any metal.
The latest version of PcVue software from ARC Informatique has a number of innovations that help to reduce the cost of running and implementing process control projects. PcVue V.8.2 is the only SCADA tool in the world that is totally compatible with AutoCAD, as well as enabling the conversion of FactoryLink data. It also supports VMware, which allows a single PC to manage several virtual machines, where before several dozen machines were needed.
This planetary reduction gear for rack and pinion applications offers exceptional rigidity characteristics, in particular through the one-piece output pinion technology invented by REDEX. It provides unrivalled radial rigidity (accounting for up to 60% of overall rigidity).
Satisfying the demand for reliable HMI solutions for OEMs and machine builders, Beijer Electronics is launching its new website - www.machinebuilderhmi.com – to provide tuned information on products, customization, development and support.
The latest version of TurboWin has been specially updated to considerably increase safety of navigation and to make fishing easier and more productive. Thanks to numerous new functions, this navigation system is certainly the most comprehensive and the most adapted to fishermen operations.
The new MRD-310 and MRD-330 are robust 3G routers designed for remote access across mobile networks. They provide a very high level of connectivity, and support many mobile standards including GSM, GPRS, 3G UMTS, HSDPA and HSUPA allowing uplink transfer rates of up to 2Mbit/s. Together with the rugged enclosure, DIN-rail mounting and an operating voltage range spanning from 10 VDC to 60 VDC, they are designed for industrial applications in harsh environments. Typical on board (train, trucks, etc.) or ground applications include video surveillance, SCADA/DNP3 telemetry systems and remote access to machines and devices.
Owners of mobile plant equipment are plagued by theft, so must invest heavily to try and minimise this happening. However, the need for convenient access means that a single key code is often used for a number of vehicles – making a thief’s job easier. Around only 5% of stolen plant equipment is ever recovered so owners are keen to increase protection but without sacrificing flexibility. Engineered access solutions specialist Southco has an answer: it is working with equipment manufacturers to develop keyless entry systems – similar to the wireless keyfob used to open your car – that trigger an electro-mechanical latch. Each vehicle can then have a unique entry code, yet still be easily accessible to authorised people. As an added benefit, the locking mechanism can be incorporated within the vehicle, so there is no visible lock for a thief to target. Such systems could be designed directly into the machinery, rather than being added as a retrofit device.
MEDRIX applies permanent direct marking to surgical instruments by micro-percussion. As well as being the market’s least-expensive marking solution for hospitals, MEDRIX features outstanding ease of use and compatibility with sterile environments.
