Delta Demonstrates Superior Energy/OPEX-saving Telecom Power Solutions at Hannover Messe 2015

Hannover, Germany, April 13th, 2015 – Delta, a global leader in thermal and power management solutions, will present, at Hannover Messe 2015, its smart telecom power solutions and their remarkable track record in enabling substantial energy and opex savings for world-class telecom carriers. The EnergE-Site Solutions are renewable-hybrid energy solutions that provide network transmission sites with reliable, uninterrupted and eco-friendly power supply with Delta’s proprietary technology such as our rectifiers which offer industry-leading energy efficiency of up to 97.2%. The outdoor power system for small cell applications featuring leading energy efficiency of 96% will debut at the show. Delta’s telecom power solutions showcased this year are, for example, currently being implemented by one of the largest telecom operators in Germany and as of the second half of 2014, more than 10 million kWh in energy savings have been achieved.

Delta’s EnergE-Site Solutions are the ultimate power plant for on- and off-grid telecom sites, both new and retrofitted systems. They are highly customizable within the three base versions:

  • EnergE-Site Base includes battery storage technology with deep cycle charging dispatch (CDC Hybrid) for enhanced energy efficiency and significant fuel reduction.
  • EnergE-Site HES can achieve opex savings of up to 95% by integrating renewable energy sources (solar photovoltaic, wind) and traditional energy systems (grid/genset, battery) with optimal coordination.
  • EnergE-Site RenE offers an ultimate opex reduction by providing up to 100% renewable energy fraction (photovoltaic and/or wind) as well as battery energy storage.

These systems integrate not only rectifiers such as the 97.2%-efficient DPR2900-48 EnergE Series but also Delta’s advanced system controllers, DC-converters, power distribution units and the durable and super silent power cabinets OutD Series.  The Delta Orion Controller allows comprehensive remote monitoring and control of the system, including detailed component operations, active alarm systems and energy logs, thus, increasing the productivity of site maintenance processes.

For high-growth 4G LTE small cell applications, Delta offers the newly-launched outdoor power system which features leading energy efficiency of 96%, 1kW output power, IP65 protection class and natural cooling properties.

Delta’s telecom power solutions have established an excellent track record in terms of energy savings and carbon emissions reduction for our world-class telecom customers.  One of the largest telecom carriers in Germany has trusted the quality, reliability and flexibility offered by Delta and is currently upgrading its power infrastructure to support 4G LTE technology deployment.   The systems implemented in this project improved energy conversion efficiency to 96.4% from the original 92% level thanks to the integration of Delta’s 2900W rectifiers, advanced controllers and the highly durable outdoor cabinets.  By of the second half of 2014, energy savings of more than 10 million kWh have been achieved, translating into a reduction of more than 5,300 tons of carbon emissions.

Welcome to visit Delta’s stand at Hall 11, stand A49 between April 13th and 17th, 2015, Hannover Messe, Germany.
