Happening live: the EPLAN Virtual Fair

Last year EPLAN, the software and solutions provider, welcomed over 1,400 attendees from 73 countries to its international Virtual Fair. Impressive figures - especially in times before such virtual platforms had become the standard. This year the interest in new, innovative “Leadership Talks”, practice-oriented webcasts and worldwide chats to facilitate talking shop with other users is likely to increase.

Happening live: the EPLAN Virtual Fair
On September 15th, 2020, EPLAN will be live and online in all time zones with its international Virtual Fair. Numerous country pavilions have been integrated into the platform, where regional teams will be holding webcasts - shown here with the example of the US.

This year’s EPLAN Virtual Fair has a full sixteen-hour program planned. This will be the fifth year of the global “trade show on the net” and a growing number of visitors from all around the world is anticipated. The fair will be open and broadcasting, presenting and live chatting from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (CEST). The concept for the EPLAN Virtual Fair has been further refined and now includes numerous country pavilions where regional teams, like Spain, France, China and the US will be giving live talks.

Live demonstrations will give users a deeper insight into the software, and EPLAN experts will be sharing current tips and tricks for daily work in engineering like: digitalizing engineering tasks with EPLAN Pre Planning or wiring machines and devices with the help of the digital twin. EPLAN consultants will be sharing their knowledge with visitors in tutorials and webcasts. Keynote presentations from customers such as Magtronics from Japan, Systems Engineering from Denmark, and A&E Engineering from the US are just some of the highlights from the show. Anyone attending will receive many valuable, in-depth looks into specific best practices for engineering.

Leadership Talks with the Management Board
The event’s focus on practical application and efficiency will be further emphasized at the senior management level during the brand-new “Leadership Talks” with the CEO and Management Board. Strategic topics included in the agenda are:

• Data continuity and data quality as decisive factors for success
• Increasing productivity with services
• The integrated value chain in control cabinet engineering

Middle-management attendees can also look forward to an interesting mix of topics. Integrating configuration for automated engineering, cloud-based solutions in the ecosystem of industrial automation or implementing complete digitalization are topics of numerous live presentations.
