Eaton Emergency-Stop/Off Pushbutton Actuators Clearly Indicate Switch Position Even In Darkness

Eatons Electrical Sector is launching new emergency stop/off pushbutton actuators for the RMQ-Titan range of control circuit devices for worldwide use. The system expansion includes emergency-stop palm-shaped actuators (45/60 mm), with or without key, with turn and pull release, non-illuminated, illuminated, with standard LEDs or with mechanical switch position indication (green/red) in the middle of the actuating element.

The self-monitoring contact elements ensure full operational reliability, even with a faulty installation or after excessively forceful actuation. For this, the modular contact elements have an integrated second contact next to the emergency off NC contact so that the mechanical connection to the emergency-stop/off actuator element can be queried. The contact elements are available for front or bottom fixing, as well as for 1 or 2-channel safety circuits.

The emergency-stop/off pushbutton actuators can be made even more conspicuous on a machine or plant with an optional illuminated ring. In this way, the position of the emergency-stop/off button is clearly indicated, even in darkened environments. The illuminated ring indicates the operating state reliably, even from a long distance. . When tripped, for example, three separately controllable LED rows can be activated as a running light. The possibility of individually labeling the illuminated ring using the Labeleditor software is also being planned. The new M22-IY1-XPV60 surface mounting enclosure with a yellow cover and protection to IP 67 is specially prepared for mounting the emergency-stop/off pushbutton actuator with the illuminated ring.

M22 emergency-stop/off buttons with IP67 and IP69K protection are tamper-proof in compliance with EN ISO 13850 and meet European and international safety standards in accordance with EN60204 and IEC60204. Approval to UL/CSA, as well as approvals for shipboard use from Germanischer Lloyd and Lloyd’s Register of Shipping are in preparation.
