Booth 1869 demonstrations focus on efficient, space-saving motion control for robotics.

Copley Controls to Show Compact Module Drives and Custom Integrated Motor-Drive Assemblies at Automate 2026

Copley Controls will exhibit at Automate 2026, June 22-25 at McCormick Place in Chicago, where it will show its compact Nano and Nano Plus module drives and a new capability to build integrated motor-drive assemblies to customer requirements. The company is in Booth 1869.

The Nano and Nano Plus module drives are among the most compact high-performance servo drives on the market, sized for space-constrained applications such as robotic joints. They run efficiently to limit the heat generated in tight enclosures where there is little room to dissipate it, and they support a range of brushless, DC brush and linear motors over industrial networks including EtherCAT, CANopen and EtherNet/IP.

Copley’s new integrated motor-drive capability lets customers combine a motor and drive in a single assembly built to their specifications. At the show, the company will display a custom unit that replaces an earlier design built around a large, separate drive housing. The new version integrates the drive and a built-in encoder inside the motor package, cutting interconnects, cabling and connectors while shrinking the overall form factor and managing thermal load internally.

The demonstration unit is a frameless motor in a custom housing configured for direct drive, with no gear reduction between the motor and the load. Copley engineers will be at Booth 1869 to discuss the module drives and custom motor-drive integration for specific applications.
