binder has expanded its circular connector portfolio with the Not Connected Closed (NCC) family, designed to maintain interface protection even when unmated. The defining feature is an integrated, spring-loaded plastic cover within the female panel mount connector that automatically seals the contacts when the plug is disconnected. This mechanism prevents the ingress of dust, dirt, and liquids without requiring additional protective caps.

Protection in mated and unmated states
Series 670 achieves IP54 protection when unmated and IP67 when mated. Series 770 provides IP67 protection in both conditions. This dual-state sealing concept addresses applications involving frequent mating cycles where maintaining environmental protection between connections is critical.

The integrated sealing cap is engineered with a precision spring mechanism to ensure consistent return movement and long-term sealing reliability.

Mechanical design and durability
Both series use a bayonet locking system that enables fast, tool-free, and vibration-resistant connection. The locking mechanism reduces the risk of accidental disconnection.

The connectors are rated for more than 1,000 mating cycles in Series 670 and more than 5,000 mating cycles in Series 770, supporting long-term operational stability in repetitive-use environments.

The portfolio includes compact 5-pin (Series 670, subminiature) and 8-pin (Series 770, miniature) variants. Housing materials are plastic and DEHP-free. A medical-grade version of Series 770 is available in grey-white (similar to RAL 9002) and is biocompatible according to ISO 10993-5.
