(7/2/2013) Baumer expands its GigE camera series with ten new IP protected models that have been developed for particularly demanding industrial environments. With the IP 65 and IP 67 protective housing, every sensitive camera component, all the way to the lens, is protected from dust, water spray and temporary immersion. The cameras have an x-coded M12 connector that ensures a reliable connection to the data interface. Designed for industrial uses, they can be powered by a 12 to 24 volt or Power over Ethernet (PoE) supply.

EEx HOG 161 is the youngest Baumer HeavyDuty incremental encoder in explosion-proof design with IECEx certifcation in device category 2 G.

(March 13, 2013) The new performance class category in optical sensor technology, the O500 series by Baumer, combines the most important properties that a sensor could offer: durability as well as safe and easy operation. The O500 series is setting new standards particularly due to the ease of operation.

Modern machines and plants are becoming more and more complex. Keeping track of things so you can react appropriately at just the right moment is not always easy. Although all measuring values, status messages, interference signals or exceeded limits are collected in a central location, immediate recognition of situations calling for a fast reaction can be expedient not only in the control center but also on site. That is convenient and also increases process safety because prompt reaction can prevent unplanned machine or plant downtimes or the production of faulty batches. User-friendly measuring equipment with flexibly programmable displays opens up practical options.

Baumer’s CleverLevel series LBFS/LFFS switch stands out not only by its reliability. Used in conjunction with the optional configuration software "FlexProgrammer", CleverLevel offers a great potential for use in a wide range of applications. Even more complex tasks can be completed very easily, and frequency deviation technology extends CleverLevel's application areas far beyond simple filling level monitoring. As an "all-rounder" the CleverLevel detects different media (e.g. foam and liquid) as well as contaminants (e.g. oil on water) in the same tank. In addition, the level switch prevents pumps from running dry even in viscous or sticky media.
