With the QX series cameras, Baumer sets new standards for high-speed image processing. With 12 megapixel resolution at 335 fps in Burst Mode, the cameras capture fine details and defects extremely precisely in high-dynamic processes. The 10 GigE interface continuously transfers data with a high bandwidth of 1.1 GB/s. This makes the cameras ideal for applications that require very high frame rates for short sequences. As a result they are suitable, for example, for process analysis in industrial applications, for living cell analysis in medical applications, for scientific research or for motion analysis in sports. A first model, equipped with the CMOS global shutter CMV12000 sensor by ams (CMOSIS), is available in the fourth quarter of 2017.
) Thanks to the extended temperature range from -40 °C to 70 °C, the new CX series cameras with IP 65/67 protection are ideal for demanding applications under extreme conditions. Selected models eliminate the need for additional cooling or heating units and therefore ease thermal integration, saving time and system cost. The IP 65/67 rated housing protects all sensitive camera elements against dirt, water jets and short-term immersion and makes additional housing protection unnecessary. Furthermore, the optional modular tube system with a variable number of extension tubes allows lenses to be quickly adapted to the application with great flexibility. The new IP cameras with Sony Pregius and ON Semiconductor PYTHON CMOS sensors feature GigE Vision compliant interface and are available with six resolutions from 1.3 to 12 megapixels. Series production begins in the first quarter of 2018.
With their FlexFlow family of flow and temperature sensors, Baumer has expanded their process sensor portfolio. Based on the calorimetric measurement principle, the FlexFlow family can monitor both flow velocity as well as media temperature. The sensors have IO-Link and, depending on settings and connections, either two switching outputs or one switching and one analog output (4...20 mA/ 0...10 V). The PF20H and PF20S versions are suitable for hygienic and industrial applications.
The new DSRK strain probe from Baumer is setting new standards in tie bar strain measurement. Retaining the excellent measuring performance of its predecessor, the DSRH with Strain-Mate technology, the DSRK uses the glued strain gauge principle – currently unparalleled on the market. With its optimized measuring head design, the DSRK provides a stronger installation than comparable models.
The measurement of object height is an important aspect in quality control applications. With the PosCon HM light-section sensor, Baumer offers a unique, compact measuring device for this kind of tasks. The smart, pre-configured profile sensor offers five measurement modes for different measurement tasks. An exact positioning of the measured objects is not required. The PosCon HM provides reliable measurements even on shiny and very dark surfaces. In conjunction with its high measuring accuracy of up to 2 μm, it is suitable for a large number of applications in at-line, off-line and in-line control.
Baumer has expanded the successful CleverLevel series with two new variants – the LBFH and LBFI. They are available with two switching outputs, qTeach and a 360° output status indicator. In the same way as their predecessors the level switches are based on frequency deviation technology and are suitable for both hygiene and industrial applications.
The popular CleverLevel series by Baumer now includes another five LBFS product variants. The world’s most compact level switch based on frequency sweep technology now includes a cooling neck for high temperature applications, a long version for improved level detection in bulk media and with a process connection compliant to US and Far East standards.
Baumer keeps on pushing internationalization of their brand „Original Bourdon“ in the process instrumentation industry. To meet the requiremens of an in-country value program in the Gulf region, Baumer concluded their first local content agreement in Saudi Arabia. The company Saad M. Alyan Trading Est., a long-year Baumer distribution partner, now assumes in-country production of mechanical manometers of the Original Bourdon brand.
Baumer has added a new model to its range of CombiLyz conductivity meters. In addition to the compact AFI4, the AFI5 version with remote sensor is now also available. This new CombiLyz version includes two individual components: the inductive sensing element and the transmitter with integrated CombiView display. These components can be installed separately from each other and connected via a cable.
