Delta Showcases Highly Energy Efficient Power Solutions for Smart Cities at Power & Electricity World Africa 2019

Delta, a global provider of power and thermal management solutions, today announced it will showcase a series of energy-efficient power solutions at Power & Electricity World Africa 2019. Among them will be its modular three-phase uninterruptable power supply (UPS) system DPH 500kVA series, which provides the ultimate MW power protection with fully rated power (kVA = kW), while offering industry-leading power density of 50kW in a 3U module. From its range of photovoltaic (PV) inverters, Delta will show the M125HV series, an inverter that boasts peak efficiency up to 99.2% as well as 1500Vdc input voltage, thus, suitable for large-scale solar PV power plants.

Delta Acquires Lighting Solution Brand Amerlux To Enhance its IoT-based Green Solutions for Smart Buildings and Cities

Delta Electronics, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Delta”), a global provider of power and thermal management solutions, and Amerlux, LLC (hereinafter referred to as “Amerlux”), a U.S.-based LED architectural lighting solutions company, today announced the signing of a definitive agreement pursuant to which Delta Electronics (Netherlands) B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta, will acquire 100% of Amerlux’s interests for USD 90,000,000 (approx. NTD 2,769,300). The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2019. The aforementioned agreement includes an earn-out mechanism in which Delta will pay an additional pre-established amount for the transaction should Amerlux’s 2019 EBITDA(1) and revenue reach a predetermined target.

Delta’s UPS and DCIM Systems Power Bytesnet’s New Green Data Centre and Data Lab

Delta, a global provider of power and thermal management solutions, announced today its DPH 500kVA modular uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and InfraSuite Manager data center information management (DCIM) system are now in operation at Bytesnet’s new d’Root data center at Zernike Campus Groningen in the Netherlands. The DPH 500kVA UPS delivers fully rated power (kVA=kW) and it requires only 50% of the space needed by similar systems from competitors. With Delta’s DCIM, Bytesnet can collect energy consumption data from power meters and environmental detectors in real time to monitor data center operations remotely.

The state-of-the-art portfolio includes the IoT-based Building Management Platform, which offers compatibility with all open protocols used in building control such as Modbus, BACnet, M-Bus, DALI, EnOcean, OPC, LON and KNX to implement energy-efficient control of a broad range of building functions including HVAC, lighting, surveillance cameras, renewable energy systems and EV chargers. Delta is also launching its 125kW string PV inverter M125HV series, which features peak efficiency up to 99.0%.
