The development of the Umill is a result of many years of MECOF experience - since 1947 Mecof has been developing and manufacturing vertical portal milling machines and horizontal moving column machining centers in Italy. Just in time for the biggest trade show for machine tool manufacturing, EMCO MECOF will present the new model of the Umill Range – the new Umill 1500 - at the EMO in Hannover - a 5-axis milling center for the complete machining of complex workpieces in a single set-up, which demonstrates impressive performance figures and will be used in mold & dies, aerospace, precision general engineering and energy engineering. With the expansion of the Umill series, EMCO MECOF is responding to the demand for compact 5-axis machining centers with automation, which have a high performance, performance and accuracy.
Based on its long-standing experience and customer-oriented philosophy, EMCO – in cooperation with the Italian subsidiary EMCO Famup – has expanded its MAXXMILL series and developed a high-performance vertical CNC milling centre for 5-sided machining: the new MAXXMILL 750. The compact and optimised machine structures as well as the technical adaptations enable users to machine complex and heavy workpieces with an edge length of 530 x 530 x 417 mm in just one setting - with efficient results in terms of surface quality and precision.
With the new MAXXMILL 630, EMCO customers can enjoy a flexible vertical CNC milling machine for 5-sided machining. Complex workpieces with an edge length of 445 x 445 x 290 mm can be efficiently and precisely machined in one setting. The compact machine structure and excellent value for money also support customers in making further advantageous savings.
Modular design for increased power and more possibilities: with a spindle distance of no more than 3,300 mm, a powerful main spindle and counter-spindle, a new drive concept, a B-axis with direct drive for complex simultaneous 5-axis machining and an additional lower turret system, the new Hyperturn 100 Powermill is the systematic further development of the tried and tested HYPERTURN POWERMILL series. It stands for precision, flexibility and productivity when it comes to the machining of large, complex workpieces in one setup.
In today‘s environment, complete machining is essential in order to profitably produce complex components. For this reason, the metal and plastics producer MKE has been making knee joint components for medical technology on an EMCO Hyperturn HT 95 SMB since the beginning of 2012. In addition to exemplary service, the key for the in Hallein-based machine manufacturer was what MKE believes to be the best cost/benefit relationship in the market.
The success story of this Austrian company, which was founded over 60 years ago, started with the production of conventional lathes. EMCO, which in the meantime is part of the Kuhn Group, Austria-based heavy equipment distributor, has become one of Europe’s leading producers of machine tools and has production plants in Austria, Germany and Italy. The group of companies consists of an association of top European suppliers (EMCO, EMCO FAMUP, EMCO Magdeburg and EMCO MECOF) all of which come from the machine-tool industry. United under the common maxim of “Made in the Heart of Europe” they work on intelligent and innovative production solutions for the machining industry. With its extensive product portfolio, the EMCO Group is a respected and proven partner within the field of turning and milling.
